Bret couldn’t be more excited to be back in Pittsburgh to not only honor our veterans during the NFL’s Salute to Service but to participate in the legendary towel twirl alongside Vietnam Veteran Rocky Bleier and Fan of the year and Army Veteran (Vietnam) Nelson Lowes.
He is beyond grateful that the Pittsburgh Steelers are remembering his late Father, Wally Sychak, and that he will be on hand to participate in the presentation and donation to his American Legion by Rocky and the Steelers.
Bret is a lifelong Steelers fan having been born in Butler and growing up in Harrisburg & Mechanicsburg.
Bret comes from a military family.His father was a Navy Veteran, Cousin Bob, a Marine, who is a two time purple heart recipient and Vietnam Veteran and his Great Uncle Nick was an Army Ranger, killed in action during the battle of the bulge in WWII.
