Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures have confirmed that a Fourth 'Matrix' Movie is a go.
Lana Wachowski is set to write, direct, and co-produce the fourth film in the Matrix series. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are said to be rejoining the cast in their roles of Neo and Trinity.
"We could not be more excited to be re-entering 'The Matrix' with Lana," said Emmerich. "Lana is a true visionary — a singular and original creative filmmaker — and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing, and producing this new chapter in 'The Matrix' universe."
Variety sources claim production will start in early 2020. The first "Matrix" had its 20th anniversary this year.
