Looks like the Penguins had a couple last minute moves planned before the 3pm trade deadline.
- They decided to send Jean-Sebastien Dea to Florida in exchange for defenseman Chris Wideman.
- They also picked up Erik Gudbranson from the Vancouver in exchange for Tanner Pearson.
Penguins GM Jim Rutherford also shared some thoughts on each player.
Penguins GM Jim Rutherford on Chris Wideman: "He gives us depth on defense. He's a smaller guy, a puck moving guy. He has played some games in the league, he's got some experience."
Penguins GM Jim Rutherford on Gudbranson: "The nice thing about Erik is he's a character guy, he's a team guy. He's going to help in the room. He's going to make guys feel more comfortable. He's got experience playing in the league."
