REPORT: Steelers Interested In Signing Russell Wilson

The Steelers are reportedly interested in signing former Broncos QB Russell Wilson.

Gerry Dulac from the Steelers Radio Network posted on Twitter/X that, per sources, the team Is tentatively planning to meet with him before start of free agency.

He also added that Wilson has interest in joining the Steelers.

Of course Omar Kahn said he wants to "create a strong competition" for QB1 in the upcoming season, so this would definitely check that box.

There's also a pretty good chance they can get him on a one-year deal for the veteran minimum, which is $915,000 this season. SB Nation has a great breakdown of how the money works out with the Broncos picking up the rest of his $39 million salary.

Is Wilson the longterm solution? Nope.

Could he be the bridge QB the Steelers have been looking for? Maybe.

Free agency starts at 4pm on March 13th.
