REPORT: Former Scorpions and Kingdom Come Drummer James Kottak Dead at 61

Former Scorpions and Kingdom Come drummer James Kottak has passed away at the age of 61.

TMZ is reporting that Kottak's daughter, Tobi, told them that he died on Tuesday morning in Louisville, KY.

Kottak was in the Scorpions from 1996 through 2016, making him the longest serving drummer with the band. He was also in Kingdom Come, where he played on their first two albums.

Blabbermouth is reporting that his passing was also confirmed by his Kingdom Come bandmate, Johnny "JB" Frank, who wrote on social media: "Rock Forever in Peace Brother James Kottak. James is in Heaven Now".

No cause of death has been released.
