Mick Mars is suing lawsuit Mötley Crüe, and there is a lot to unpack in this story.

TMZ is reporting that he filed the lawsuit in order to gain access to the band's books, claiming his percentage of tour profits was cut from 25% to 5% after he announced he would no longer tour due to health issues.

He also claims there was a full band meeting that was held where they decided to "unilaterally" remove him from Mötley Crüe.

The lawsuit also accuses Nikki Sixx of repeatedly "gaslighting" Mars about his guitar skills diminishing, and also claims that Sixx used pre-recorded bass parts during the Stadium Tour last year and didn't "play a single note on bass."

According to Variety, who has a great article featuring a bit of a deeper dive into the suit, Mars is alleging that "other members of the group engaged in partial or complete miming on that tour, saying that he was the only one performing completely live."

So, yeah, it basically sounds Mötley Crüe has fired Mick Mars.

Gonna be interesting to see how this one ends up playing out. Read more over at variety.com.
