Former Steelers LB Ryan Shazier Launches His Own Line of Medical Marijuana

Former Steelers LB Ryan Shazier has launched his own line of medical marijuana.

He has teamed up with Organic Remedies to launch the new Steel City Greats collection of pain, depression, and anxiety relief marijuana products.

Or course Shazier suffered a devastating spinal cord injury that ended his NFL career in 2017, which also lead to a long and painful process of recovery.

According to the Steel City Greats website, "Ryan found medical marijuana to be a safe, natural alternative to opioids to combat pain associated with a serious spinal injury and the intense rehabilitation following that injury."

They also note that "intense physical therapy following a spinal injury can bring periods of sadness, anxiety, depression. Medical Marijuana helps ease these moods that can slow recovery."

The products are available at Organic Remedies, with locations in Bethel Park and on McKnight Road.

A portion of the proceeds from sales will go toward The Ryan Shazier Fund which helps people who are recovering from spinal cord injuries.
