Warren Hanyes has been dealing with some health issues that forced Gov’t Mule to postpone their run of shows in Philadelphia and New York last month, including the annual New Year's Eve gig at the Beacon Theatre.
But some good news, he is on the mend!
He released a note to fans this past weekend and said he is home now and "doing OK" after recently being hospitalized “due to some pretty serious complications from COVID and influenza.”
The doctors say he needs more time to recuperate and shouldn't travel yet, which means Hayne's won't be able to perform at Gov’t Mule’s annual Island Exodus in Jamaica next week.
The festival is still happening. It kicks off this Sunday and runs through 1/19, with performances from Robert Randolph, Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience, Duane Betts and many others.
Haynes also said he'll be back on the road with the Mule later this year for spring tour, which will be announced soon!
