Candles Line Stage At Festival Estéreo Picnic In Memory Of Taylor Hawkins

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins passed away on Friday night at the age of 50.

According to several online reports, he was found dead in his hotel room in Bogota, Columbia just hours before the band was set to headline Festival Estéreo Picnic.

In lieu of the band's performance, candles lined the stage at the festival in memory of Hawkins.

The band announced the tragic news of Hawkin's passing on social media Friday night.

“The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins,” the announcement read. “His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.”

No cause of death has been determined.
