Dolly Parton has withdrawn her name from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ballot.
She announced the news on social media Monday morning and wrote, ""Even though I'm extremely flattered and grateful, I don't feel that I've earned that right. I really do not want votes to be split because of me, so I respectfully bow out."
She adds that she hopes to make a rock album and be reconsidered one day.
Dolly currently stands at fourth place in the fan voting at rockhall.com.
