Tito's Vodka is warning Twitter users NOT to use their product for hand sanitizer to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
Apparently a lot of people have been offering up DIY alternatives to hand sanitizer, and Tito's is one that got mentioned. The Tito's social media team quickly jumped in to let people know that it is actually NOT a good alternative.
“Per the CDC, hand sanitizer needs to contain at least 60% alcohol. Tito’s Handmade Vodka is 40% alcohol, and therefore does not meet the current recommendation of the CDC,” Tito’s Vodka tweeted.
