David Lee Roth recorded this song for a girl with leukemia back in 1999 after hearing about The Songs of Love Foundation.
According to Van Halen News Desk, Roth first read about the organization in a New York newspaper, so he contacted them. After hearing the story of 9-year-old Ashley Abernathy, who had leukemia, he recorded the song especially for her.
Ashley is now 28 years old, and her leukemia is still in remission.
