The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they have released five players in order to get down to the required 80-man roster by 4 pm on Tuesday.
They have released:
- Linebacker - Genard Avery
- Receiver - Christian Blake
- Running back - Mataeo Durant
- Quarterback - Chris Oladokun
- Kicker - Nick Sciba

Teams will have to make additional cuts to their rosters by Tuesday, August 30th to get to the required 53-man roster.
