Today in 1970, England, a drunk Keith Moon, fleeing a hostile bar crowd of skinheads, jumped into his very expensive Bentley and tried to take off. But he never learned how to drive, he didn't have a driver's license and wound up dragging his chauffeur/bodyguard under the car, killing him.
Moon was charged with vehicular homicide, drunk driving & driving without a license or insurance. But the death was ruled an accident so Moon was cleared of the vehicular homicide charge.
This tragedy was said to deeply haunt Moon for the rest of his short life till he died 8 years later in 1978. Keith Moon Kills Chauffeur
