Pink Floyd Pig Breaks Free During "Animals" Shoot

Dec. 3rd 1976, Pink Floyd hired a photographer AND a sharpshooter, as work began on the album cover for Floyd's "Animals" record to be released the following year 1977. There was an inflatable pig involved for the album cover shoot and the pig broke free from its moorings! But someone had decided to NOT bring the sharpshooter so the inflatable pig took off! Planes reported sightings, police station switchboards lit up, and to this day, no one in Pink Floyd will admit whether the inflatable pig getting loose was an accident or a publicity stunt.  Pink Floyd Inflatable Pig Breaks Free 1976
