Alan Parsons, a studio whiz kid at Abbey Road Studios/London, worked with The Beatles on their last album together "Abbey Road" in 1969 (he was 20 years old), then in 1973 he was the engineer on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" at 24! Floyd also recorded almost all their stuff at Abbey Road Studios. The Alan Parsons Project had a ton of hits of their own in the '70's and '80's.
