I never knew this. In 1969, Joe Walsh, then with a brand new band out of Warren Ohio named The James Gang, sold Jimmy Page, then with a brand new band out of England named Led Zeppelin, a sunburst 1959 Gibson Les Paul guitar. This was just as Zeppelin had begun recording "Led Zeppelin II." Jimmy's new guitar was largely responsible for the way Led Zeppelin's songs sounded coming out of your speakers during the 1970's!
