Brian Jones Founder Of The Stones, Fired Today '69

It was Brian Jones who placed an ad in a London paper in 1962, looking for musicians to start a new R&B group. Mick Jagger responded and brought his friend with him, Keith Richards, to the audition. But by 1969, Brian Jones was WAAAY overboard with drugs, incapable of playing his instruments and being arrested too for possession. He was gently fired from The Rolling Stones today in 1969, he said they were all going in different directions. In less than a month, Brian Jones would be dead in his swimming pool, July 3rd 1969. The Coroner's report read, "Death By Misadventure." He was 27.
