Noel Redding, Hendrix Bass Player Dies 2003, Broke

Noel Redding played bass with The Jimi Hendrix Experience. It was just the 3 of them, Noel, Jimi and Mitch Mitchell on drums. According to Redding, Hendrix was a very difficult guy to work with, Noel Redding quit The Experience in 1969. in 1974 Redding sold his rights for any future royalties from all the Hendrix songs he played bass on, for $100K. He also sold his bass that he used with The Experience for $16K. Noel Redding was 58 when he died today at home in Ireland in 2003.
