Buddy Ebsen was originally cast as The Tin Man in "The Wizard Of Oz," but he got really sick of the aluminum paint he was sprayed with on the set. Buddy played Jed Clampett on "The Beverly Hillbillies," and also he was "Barnaby Jones" in the 1970's. Buddy Ebsen played in so many other TV shows, movies and plays in his VERY long career. He died at 95 in 2003.
