Steppenwolf To Release 50th Anniversary Box Set

Steppenwolf, from Los Angeles California in the late 1960's, was a powerhouse Rock band, with a biker's edge...not to mention a very "druggy" presentation visually! Steppenwolf's "Born To Be Wild" and "The Pusher" were both included on the soundtrack of 1969's classic biker flick "Easy Rider," starring Peter Fonda & Dennis Hopper. In "Born To Be Wild," John Kaye, lead singer & lyricist, coined the phrase "heavy metal thunder," the 1st time musically that the words "heavy" and "metal" had been paired together. This Friday, the 3 CD 50th Anniversary Box Set from Steppenwolf will be released.
