The Eagles were told in 1978 that their latest album "Hotel California: was probably going to win either "Album Of The Year" or "Record Of The Year" Grammys, or both. But not being guaranteed a win, The Eagles, being The Eagles, blew off The Grammy Awards that night and were no-shows. "Hotel California" won the "Record Of The Year" Grammy, "Rumours" from Fleetwood Mac won "Album Of The Year." (What's the f*cking difference between "Album Of The Year" and "Record Of The Year" anyway??)
