They legalized recreational marijuana in Colorado in 2014. Since then, millions and millions and millions (no exaggeration) of dollars have been pouring into the Colorado coffers from marijuana tax revenues and also excess marijuana sales revenue. They're building new schools, they're updating computers in the classrooms, they're replacing playgrounds and old swimming pools...Weed is still illegal in the eyes of the Federal government, but in states (9 so far) where recreational pot is permitted, so much $$$ is being made, they have to figure out how to properly and wisely spend it all.
