Steppenwolf was a brand new band out of Los Angeles, their debut album featured the soon-to-be bikers anthem, "Born To Be Wild," which was included the next year, 1969, in the bikers film classic "Easy Rider", starring Peter Fonda, an unknown Jack Nicholson and the late Dennis Hopper......this was the 1st time anyone had heard the 2 words "Heavy" and Metal" combined together..."heavy metal thunder".....Born to be Wild Steppenwolf
