Patrice Matamoros, CEO, Junior Achievement of Western PA

Patrice Matamoros is the President of Junior Achievement of Western PA, a non-profit that strengthens communities by ensuring every student has equal opportunities to succeed in over 50 counties in western PA and northern West Virginia. After a ten-year run as the CEO of P3R, Patrice worked with multiple non-profit industries as a consultant. As an advocate for helping young people and families, she saw an opportunity to merge her experience with her passions and joined the JA team in December of 2020.

Her strong connections in the community and ability to creatively bring solutions and strategic vision to an organization landed Patrice the role at JA. In her short time as President, she's closely worked with non-profit leaders, elected officials and business executives to create strong relevance around the need for the workforce readiness, entrepreneurial and financial literacy programs that the organization provides to thousands of students every year.

Patrice is a native of rural Montana, where access to quality education was difficult. These experiences fuel her belief that providing equal access to quality education can improve many of our societal issues and guide young people to success. She has her B.S. in Business Administration and is a graduate of Old Dominion University. Early in her career, Patrice worked for Ford Motor Company in major sales and devoted ten years to supporting charitable causes and fundraising through various events.

In her spare time, she loves spending time with her three kids, exercising and cooking.
