Neil R. Rosen

Neil Rosen is respected throughout the state as an experienced and successful trial lawyer. Mr. Rosen has won some of the, if not the, highest jury verdicts and settlements in Western Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum because he has had dozens of multimillion-dollar settlements and verdicts. Mr. Rosen has been selected for inclusion in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers, an honor awarded to the top 5 percent of attorneys in Pennsylvania. He has also been named as one of the Top 50 Super Lawyers in Pittsburgh and as a Top 100 Lawyer in the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Moreover, Mr. Rosen has been included in the Best Lawyers of America, and his law firm has also been named in U.S. News and World Report as a Best Law Firm in Pennsylvania. Mr. Rosen has received the special honor by Best Lawyers in America as Lawyer of the Year in Medical Malpractice Law. Other honors which Mr. Rosen has received are being named a Top Attorney in Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury by the American Registry and a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers.
Mr. Rosen’s work in the area of medical malpractice and personal injury has also earned him Martindale-Hubbell’s prestigious AV rating.* This is a recognition by Mr. Rosen’s peers of his legal abilities and ethical conduct in the practice of law. Mr. Rosen maintains an extraordinarily active litigation practice and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice, and is a past member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and served on its Board of Governors.
Mr. Rosen was appointed by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to serve on the Supreme Court Rules of Evidence Committee, an entity which assists the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in promulgating the Rules of Evidence which are used during the trial of lawsuits.
Mr. Rosen is well-known for his charitable involvement in the Pittsburgh community. The Kollel awarded Mr. Rosen the Shalom Award. The Shalom Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the Jewish community. In addition, Mr. Rosen served as President of Adat Shalom Synagogue and served on its Board of Directors for many years. Mr. Rosen also served on the Board of Directors for the National Kidney Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and has been a significant contributor to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as well as other health-related charitable organizations.
Last but not least, Mr. Rosen has an extraordinary interest in legal education. He has been a lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, the Duquesne University School of Law and is an active lecturer and presenter in the area of trial advocacy to his fellow lawyers. Mr. Rosen has also established an endowment for Trial Advocacy at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law to promote trial advocacy skills in the area of civil litigation. Mr. Rosen considers his community involvement, philanthropic giving and interest in education to be highlights in his legal career.
For over 30 years, Mr. Rosen has had associated physicians and nurses as full-time employees of his law firm to assist him in reviewing medical malpractice cases. He is known to retain nationally recognized physicians in their fields to serve as expert witnesses in his cases.
