Sometimes, when you hear a rock band say they're hitting the road for a tur one last time, you know it's probably not true, maybe just a way to drum up ticket sales...sometimes, whether bands or artists are just fed up with the road, or they truly think they're packing it in, they officially announce retirement from the road, only to jump right back on....like when Ozzie Osbourne launched the "No More Tours" tour in 1992, only to then announce the "Retirement Sucks" tour in 1995...like Lynyrd Skynyrd finishing what was announced as their retirement tour in September of 2018, only to add a new leg to the retirement tour 2 months later, and they've been touring even since....maybe you remember Motley Crue even crafting a contract in 2014, saying the members of the band were done, and would not tour again; they then announced a new tour in 2020, which got delayed 2 years because of COVID....here's more about the bands that told us they were quitting the road, but didn't: Elton John, Kiss (multiple times) and more: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/rock-shortest-retirements/
