Ten different people who've worked as hotel housekeepers now have different views of what they'll do, or not do, when they stay as guests in hotels, based on their past hotel work experience, and some of these things aren't what you'd think would be a help to the housekeepers....for one thing, they say don't skip days where you need housekeeping to clean your room...you may think you're making their day easier by not requiring their services every day, but these former workers say that's not good for two reasons: it makes it harder to clean a room that's got 2 or three days of trash and dirt than it is to freshen up a room after one night, and skipping days of housekeeping service also makes the hotel lay off housekeepers, or not call them into work, because they don't need as many workers on the schedule....They also say after being housekeepers, they'll never forget to mention the housekeeper when giving a good review to the hotel about your stay, because people will mention other workers, but forget to mention the housekeeper did a good job...another big pain for housekeepers: when people leave a huge mess when they leave, like all the remnants of a party, and don't clean it at all. It backs up the worker's workday, and can cause rushing and injuries....here's more of the 10 things former hotel housekeepers would never do now during a stay because they know what it's like to be on the other side (from BuzzFeed.com): https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/tripideas/10-things-i-won-t-do-at-hotels-after-working-as-a-hotel-housekeeper/ar-AA1mHYGE?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=262b28fc165b4741a13fb7f3b9e2a6b2&ei=68
