We hear all the time about feuds between rock and roll band members, but less frequently, those feuds spill over onto the stage during performances....some of the most famous instances involve bands like the Who, Guns n Roses, and Van Halen, but theres' plenty of others...back in 1966, Keith Moon and John Entwistle were out drinking before the Who were set to perform, and were late showing up to the show. Pete Townsend and Roger Daltrey started the show without them, using substitutes...when the two drunk bandmates got there, Keith started trashing his drums, and a cymbal came off and hit Pete. Pete then swung his guitar, giving Moon a black eye, and causing him to get stitches...Keith left the band for a time, then rejoined them at a later date....In 1989, the heroin addiction for Guns n Roses members Slash and Duff McKagan got so bad, Axl Rose called out his bandmates on stage, saying there wouldn't be a Guns n Roses if certain bad members wouldn't get off "Mr. Brownstone." There were multiple incidents involving Kiss drummer Peter Criss and Paul Stanley, and between Criss and Gene Simmons...Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth would compete onstage, and simultaneously try to piss the other off with the length of their solo stage time, Eddie with his solos, and Dave with his onstage banter...and the Eagles Glen Frey and Don Felder got so mad at each other onstage at a 1980 political benefit show that the band didn't perform again until 1994....here's a bunch more on those incidents, as well as other bands' onstage blowups: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/onstage-bandmate-blowups/
