The Year Kiss Played in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade

Kiss has NEVER been shy about getting involved in side projects and any angle or product that would boost their wealth and/or popularity, but when asked what was the worst thing Kiss has ever done, manager Doc McGhee says it was being involved in the 2014 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. He explained a few years after the fact that Kiss was supposed to be on a 100 foot float sponsored by Gibson guitars, and the night before the parade, Doc says Gibson wanted guitarist Paul Stanley to play a Gibson guitar on the float, and Paul plays another brand guitar. When he refused, the band got relegated to a float 1/4 the size, and not the 100 baton twirlers in Kiss makeup they were promised. Paul Stanley vented on social media, saying "we all deserved better!" It's actually a pretty funny story as told by McGhee and Stanley.
