One of the most enjoyable and repeated tales about the Rolling Stones is being disputed by Mick Jagger as an event exaggerated by Keith Richards from a book Keith wrote back in 2010...The way Keith tells it, on a tour stop in Amsterdam in 1984, Mick Jagger called Charlie's hotel room and asked in a demanding voice: "Where's my drummer?" Then Charlie got dressed in a suit, went to meet Mick, and punched him in the face, saying, "Don't ever call me your drummer again. You're my f'ing singer." Mick is saying in a new interview that they were all drunk, and yes, Charlie called him out, but as for a punch in the face: "It never happened." According to Jagger, Charlie and Keith were both very drunk, and Charlie was very pissed at Mick, but there were so many other people there between them, it never came to blows.
