Weird Band Pairings in Concert

Sometimes it's the record company's or promoter's idea, sometimes bands like each other, and wanted to see if touring together would work, but for many reasons there have been some goofy pairings of bands that performed together at various tour stops over the years: David Lee Roth thought it would be a great idea for Kool and the Gang to open for Van Halen back in 2012, saying it would bring Van Halen's music to a whole new group of fans...it kinda worked...kinda...then there was the Ramones opening for Toto in 1979, U2 opening for the J.
