Even when I was a kid, I'd heard that Mick Jagger wrote the hit record "Angie" for Davie Bowie's wife, Angela...in an interview long, long ago, Bowie's then wife (1970-1980) Angie told Joan Rivers in a TV interview that she had walked in on David Bowie and Jagger in bed together, and the rumor was that Mick wrote it to appease her....Mick says he didn't even choose the name "Angie" for the song, that it was Keith Richards, naming the song after his daughter Angela. Keith says that's not true either, because he was coming out of heroin addiction in rehab when his girlfriend Anita Pallenberg was giving birth to their daughter, and he didn't even know it was going to be a girl, let alone named Angela. He said it was just a name he thought up for the song, and started singing it....here's more of the soap opera that was the Stone's love affairs at the time, and you make the guess after reading who "Angie" really is: https://ultimateclassicrock.com/rolling-stones-angie/
