50 Rock Landmarks to Hit on Vacation

If you have the time and money to fly to Europe, or two hours to zip over to Cleveland, or anything in between, there are dozens of great rock and roll landmarks to be the centerpiece of an end of summer vacation....let's start with a couple of places in Europe and the U.K.: There's of course Abbey Road in London, where the Beatles had a studio and shot the famous album cover...get you pic taken waking across the street like the Beatles did, and hit the gift shop there. There's also the Cavern Club in Liverpool where the Beatles got their start, or the cemetery in Paris where Jim Morrison is buried. Soo many places in the U.S. you can visit, like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, the Allman Brothers Museum, which was also their home for a time, in Macon Georgia...L.A.'s got the Whiskey a Go Go, which started a dance club and then became a live rock club, where the Doors were the house band, and countless other bands have played, the Chateau Marmont, where many rock stars lived, and John Belushi died of an overdose in 1882, and there's L.A.'s laurel Canyon neighborhood, at one point, home to Joni Mitchell, CSNY, Frank Zappa, the Doors and more...and all over the country, you've got the Stone Pony in Jersey, the club made famous by Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi and more..Prince's Paisley {ark Studio in suburban Minneapolis, Fame recording studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Elvis's home, Graceland, the Haight Ashbury district in San Francisco, home of the Summer of Love, and sooo many more places....here are 50 of them.
