One of the highlights of this very strong concert year in the Burgh will undoubtedly be the ZZ Top/ Lynyrd Skynyrd "Sharp Dressed Simple Man" tour hitting the Pavilion at Star Lake on Sunday, September 3rd (it's a 6:30 show)...the bands have a long history together, including doing full tours together back in 1999 and 2000....this tour kicked of this past Friday night in 100+ degree heat in West Palm Beach, Florida, and on this co-headlining tour, ZZ Top was the featured headlining bad, starting their 16 song set with "Got Me Under Pressure," and finishing with "La Grange"....Skynyrd paid great tribute to the recently passed Gary Rossington, leaving his position where he always stood onstage empty for him, with his stage makings placed on the stage floor....the band opened their 15 song set with "Workin' for MCA," and finished with--you guessed it--"Freebird"....for lots of video from the show, set lists, and cool comments from ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, click here.
