Some of the biggest rock stars out there have, at one point, been told to get out of a band. Some are famous firings, like Ozzy from Black Sabbath for drug use; some are little known like Jimi Hendrix getting fired before he was famous by Little Richard from his backing band because Hendrix was always late, unruly, and dressed messily...And like Ozzy, Steven Adler was let go from Guns n Roses for drug use; same with Scott Weiland twice: from Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver...Dennis DeYoung of Styx was canned in 1979, but asked back when Styx couldn't find somebody they liked better, then DeYoung was kicked out again in the early 2000s...then you have people like Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony, who insist they were kicked out of Van Halen when Eddie Van Halen says both guys chose to leave....here's more on those musicians and others who got fired from their famous bands, like Don Felder, Lindsey Buckingham, Vince Neil and more.
