Rock bands, over the years, have taken personal feuds between bandmates onto the live concert stage, sometimes fueled by drugs and/or alcohol or just flat-out animosity, and results range from memorable dubious moments you can tell your friends about if you were in the audience, to events resulting in injury, or hospitalization, or bands not playing together again for years afterward...Kiss drummer Peter Criss has been involved in at least three confrontations onstage, twice with Paul Stanley and once with Gene Simmons, when he threw his drum sticks at Simmons' head, then attacked him backstage after the show with a broken champagne bottle....in 1989, Axl Rose went on the microphone during the show and called out his band members for their heroin use, which caused a rift between bandmates, on top of the ongoing drug issues...there was the infamous war between the Eagles' Glenn Frey and Don Felder that came to a boil onstage when the Eagles were doing a charity show for then California Senator Alan Cranston. The result was the band not doing a show together til "Hell Freezes Over." That, of course, became the name of the resulting double live album when the band reunited 14 years later in 1994. Get the gory details of those onstage events, plus more from Poison, the Doors, the Kinks, when drummer Mick Avery bashed Dave Davies over the head with a cymbal after Davies was taunting him onstage, knocking Davies out and getting him 16 stitches...plus details on the Who, Van Halen with fights between Eddie and David Lee Roth, and Eddie and Sammy Hagar, and much more, here.
