There's been rumblings that U2 will mount a world tour in 2023, but drummer Larry Mullen Jr has told Geoff Edgers of the Washington Post he will not join them. In his print interview, it seemed like he didn't want to be in the band anymore, but with some twitter clarification using some of the quotes Edgers didn't put in his article, it became clear that Mullen is beaten up physically from years of playing and touring: "I have lots of bits falling off, elbows, necks"..."I'd like to take some time, which I will do, to get myself healed." Mullen does sound like he'll be back, saying "I really do miss the audience."
