In one year, 2016, drummer Carl Palmer of Emerson, Lake and Palmer, lost both of his bandmates: keyboardist Keith Emerson to suicide, and Greg Lake to cancer.....after touring with his own band recently called "ELP Legacy," he's announced a new tour: "Welcome Back My Friends -- the Return of Emerson Lake and Palmer"...He'll tour America using his own band, plus video walls and state of the art audio of Emerson and Lake....Palmer says he investigated perhaps touring using holograms of his old bandmates, but after watching other bands recreate people in the way, "it did not seem like an honest approach." So he's excited about bringing back an experience where Keith Emerson and Greg Lake are still included. The tour has only announced 10 stops so far, but more dates are expected to be added. The closest to Pittsburgh the tour comes so far is Philly and Akron, and tix go on sale today...here's more, including all tour dates so far.
