One of the weirdest phenomena about several of rock's most famous performers is just how many of them passed away in tragic circumstances at the age of 27....some are well known: Jim Morrison in a Paris bathtub, Janis Joplin of a heroin ovedose, Jimi Hendrix from wine and barbiturates, Nirvana's Kurt Cobain of suicide....Then there's the Grateful Dead's "Pigpen" McKernan passing from a hemorrhage caused by drinking, The Stones' Brian Jones drowning in his swimming pool, the main guy in Canned Heat, Alan Wilson, OD'ing on barbiturates....and the list has even more tragic deaths of rockers at the age of 27.....check'em all out here.
