One of the truly epic albums of the progressive rock era was "Close to the Edge" by Yes, at the height of the band's rock star trajectory...in an era where fans would listen to an album, start to finish, sometimes twice, this was one of the best, with most of the musical pieces on the album flowing into one another....fast forward 50 years, and the predominant Yes vocalist Jon Anderson has announced a 13-city anniversary tour, which includes a date July 27th at the Palace Theatre in Greensburg, where Anderson and a band made up of brilliant young rock musicians from the Paul Green School of Rock (locations in Philly and near New York City in Stamford, Connecticut)) will do "Close to the Edge" in its entirety, plus other Yes favorites....tickets go on sale this Friday morning at 10 at www.thepalacetheatre.org ....for more on the tour, including concert trailer video of Jon and his band playing some of the songs they'll do when they come to town, go here.
