All NFL teams make bad draft choices from time to time, but, on this eve of the 2022 draft, a look at some of the worst ever....some are famous, because of the sheer magnitude of the bust, like Ryan Leaf, taken #2 overall by the Chargers in 1998, and after underachieving, immature outbursts, and off-field issues, he ultimately left the NFL by 2002...like the Browns drafting "Johnny Football": Johnny Manziel in the first round, who only played two games his rookie year, and was out of the NFL soon after...like then-Saints coach Mike Ditka giving all of his draft picks to the Redskins in 1999 for the chance to draft Ricky Williams in the 5th overall position...Williams didn't suck, but he was a terrible get, considering his production not nearly equaling the sacrifice Ditka made. Even the Steelers have a bust on this list: Chuck Noll's last Steelers #1 draft pick ever: defensive end Huey Richardson, picked 15th overall...he played only 5 games in his first season, before being traded to the Redskins and playing only a few games there in his second season, then leaving the league... check out all the big busts in the draft, as posted by Moneywise.com, here.
