Maybe the most famous rock conspiracy theory of all time is that Paul McCartney is dead-- supposedly it happened in a car crash in the mid 1960's, and that there are clues on album covers and in songs that prove there was someone impersonating him in the years after....throughout the years, the now nearly 80-year-old is still here to de-bunk that one...But there are plenty of other rock legends that are fiction as well...that Courtney Love arranged the murder of Nirvana's Kurt Cobain because she thought he was going to divorce her....that AC/DC/s Bon Scott had a book of lyrics that, upon his death, the surviving members of the band used for the songs in the upcoming album "Back in Black"....that Jimi Hendrix's manager fed him pills and drugs the night of his death because he wanted insurance money....that Kiss had blood drawn so it could be used in with the red ink for a Kiss comic book, but the blood ended up in Sports Illustrated magazines...that the Grateful Dead paid to have a rainbow appear in the sky over their first 50th anniversary concert in 2015 in Santa Clara, California....that Jim Morrison didn't die in the bathtub of his girlfriend's apartment--people actually dragged his dead body to that apartment from a nearby Paris nightclub because they didn't want to get into trouble...check out more about all those, plus many more rock and roll conspiracy theories, here.
