Bartenders are judging you for what you order, and it's not personal, they just want to see how they're night's gonna be at work, and if you may be a pain....according to them, you ordering drinks like Long Island Ice Teas, Vodka Sodas, or Kamikazes mean you want to get hammered, sometimes as quickly as possible....asking for things like Mojitos, or champagne drinks take a long time to make, mojitos because of the mint muddling, and champagne drinks because of the incessant delays waiting for the bubbles to die down as they pour, which may have other bar customers getting cranky that they can't get faster service behind you....they also say if you're ordering sangria, unless they already have a pitcher made up, they're hoping you'll order a pitcher, not a glass, because they'll have to stop and cut up fresh fruit for every single glass you order.... more about all that, plus other things bartenders are thinking when you order, here.
