10 Things You Didn't Know About Phil Lynott

I get more requests for Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy right around this time of year because of St. Patrick's Day, and Phil's Irish heritage....maybe you are a huge fan, and know everything about him, but maybe not....like Thin Lizzy's big tune "Whiskey in the Jar," an Irish folk tune, wasn't even supposed to be promoted....Thin Lizzy thought it would bomb, but the record company pushed it, and the fans loved it....that Phil openly said he ripped ZZ Top off as far as copying them....that he wrote the theme songs for "Top of the Pops," the British equivalent to "American Bandstand," and who were "the boys" of "The Boys Are Back in Town?"
