Lynyrd Skynyrd Cancels Shows After Rickey Medlocke Tests Positive For COVID

Lynyrd Skynyrd has canceled some upcoming shows, and also had to withdraw from the Concert for Legends in Canton, OH this coming Monday night 8/9.

A statement on the band's Facebook page said, "Skynyrd Nation, due to unforeseen circumstances, Lynyrd Skynyrd is unable to perform the next four shows in Canton, OH, Jackson, MI, Atlanta, GA and Cullman, AL. Longtime band member Rickey Medlocke has tested positive for COVID-19. Rickey is home resting and responding well to treatment. We will continue to update you on his condition."

The show in Atlanta on Friday, August 13 is the only one the band says is being rescheduled. That one will now be on Saturday, October 23.

Country star Brad Paisley and songwriter Jimmy Allen will both still be performing at the Concert For Legends at the Tom Benson Hall Fame Stadium on Monday night.
