Ian Rapoport from NFL.com first shared the news on Twitter Friday morning. He tweeted, "The #Texans are releasing star JJ Watt, source said."
Shortly after that, J.J. Watt released a video addressing the fans in Houston, and confirming the news. You can watch that video below.
The Texans also confirmed the news.
