Man Accused of Inciting Violence at Protest Now in Custody

Officials say that the Shaler man accused of inciting violence at Pittsburgh protests has turned himself in. Video of him walking into the Police headquarters was taken around 5 pm Monday. He ignored all questions by the media.

He is facing charges of institutional vandalism, rioting, and reckless endangerment. Investigators served a search warrant at his home in Shaler on Sunday. They found evidence linking him to the protests, including the sweatshirt that was seen in the protest video. Police were initially tipped off to him after someone was able to identify him while watching the protest on the news. The FBI is assisting in the investigation.

Police officials are calling for anyone with additional video or photo evidence from Saturday's event to please share it with them.
