AT&T SportsNet to Air ‘Pittsburgh Penguins Classic’ Content During Pause in NHL Season
AT&T SportsNet announced today it will be airing a series of “Pittsburgh Penguins Classic” content – including the team’s 50th anniversary documentary, a Sidney Crosby special and all four victories from the 2009 Stanley Cup Final – during the pause in the NHL season. Penguin-related shows will air every Monday, Wednesday and Friday night.
The series starts tonight (Monday, March 23) at 7 p.m. with “There’s No Place Like Home” with Sidney Crosby, followed by an Inside Penguins Hockey episode featuring Evgeni Malkin and Dan Potash.
On Wednesday, AT&T SportsNet will team up with NHL Network for a “world-wide watch party” of the Pens’ 50th anniversary documentary. The film will air at 8 p.m. across several platforms – AT&T SportsNet, NHL Network and the Penguins official YouTube channel.
Friday will bring a “mini-marathon” of Penguins content, showing previous episodes of In The Room, Pens Pulse and Inside Penguins Hockey.
Next week’s features will include the Penguins’ first two wins of the 2009 Stanley Cup Final against Detroit.
