Springsteen Joins Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers at Exhibit Opening

Bruce Springsteen made a surprise appearance at the opening of the 'Springsteen: His Hometown' exhibit in his hometown of Freehold, New Jersey on Saturday night.

Pittsburgh's Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers were also there, and Bruce joined them on stage to play some music and thank everyone. He said, "I can’t stay long. I’ve got my family in the city, but I wanted to just come down and thank everybody for supporting the Historical Association. It’s nice to be honored in my hometown." Then they played "Light of Day."

Sprinsteen was also wearing a Steel City brand t-shirt. Some fan filmed video from the set is below.

The exhibit will remain at the Historical Association until the fall of 2020.
